# Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using jettechcomputing.com operated by JET.TECH Computing ("we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part, you may not access our services. Your electronic acceptance of these Terms — whether by using the website, placing an order, or creating an account — carries the same legal weight as a handwritten signature.
---
## Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use our services. If you are under 18, you must have obtained consent from a parent or guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.
## Purchases
When making a purchase, you may be required to provide information including payment details, billing address, and shipping information. You represent that you have the legal right to use your chosen payment method and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
By submitting payment information, you authorize us to share it with payment processors (including Stripe) for the purpose of completing your purchase.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including but not limited to: product or service availability, pricing errors, order errors, or suspected fraud.
## Pricing & Quotes
Our pricing model is transparent: parts are provided at cost with a flat service fee. Quotes are valid for 24 to 72 hours depending on market conditions, as component prices fluctuate. After the quote window expires, pricing may be adjusted to reflect current market rates.
Small price fluctuations between the quote and the time of purchase will generally be absorbed. Significant changes — either increases or decreases — will be communicated to the customer and adjusted accordingly.
## Build Process
Commencement: Once payment is received, we begin sourcing components and building your system. This constitutes commencement of the build.
Modifications after payment: If you wish to change specifications after payment, contact us as soon as possible. Changes requested before components have been ordered can generally be accommodated. Changes requested after components have been purchased may incur additional costs if parts need to be returned, restocked, or exchanged. We will communicate any cost implications before proceeding.
Component substitutions: If a specified component becomes unavailable, discontinued, or significantly delayed during the build process, we will notify you and offer an equivalent or superior alternative at comparable cost. We will not proceed with a substitution without your approval unless the replacement is objectively equal or better in specification and price.
Cancellations: Cancellation requests made before any components have been ordered will receive a full refund. Cancellation requests made after components have been ordered are subject to restocking fees charged by suppliers and any non-refundable shipping costs already incurred. Custom-fabricated components (painted parts, custom cables, machined items) are non-refundable once production has begun, as these are made to order and cannot be resold.
Timeline estimates: Build timelines provided are estimates based on component availability and current workload. While we make every effort to meet estimated timelines, they are not guaranteed. See Force Majeure below for circumstances beyond our control.
Pre-shipment approval: For custom builds, we provide photos of the completed system before shipping. If you are not satisfied with any aesthetic aspect of the build, we will work with you to make adjustments before the system ships.
## Customer-Supplied Components
Customers may supply their own components for use in a build. When doing so:
- JET.TECH Computing is not liable for pre-existing defects, compatibility issues, or failures of customer-supplied components.
- Customer-supplied components are not covered under our labor warranty. If a customer-supplied component fails, our standard service rates apply for diagnosis and replacement labor.
- Warranty claims for customer-supplied components are the responsibility of the customer and the component manufacturer. We will provide guidance on the warranty claim process if needed.
- We reserve the right to advise against the use of a customer-supplied component if we believe it poses a compatibility or reliability risk to the build. The final decision rests with the customer, but our warranty will not cover damage caused by components we advised against using.
## Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept credit cards, debit cards, and ACH bank transfers. Buy-now-pay-later options (Afterpay, Klarna) may be available for qualifying orders.
All payment processing fees are factored into the cost of components as part of the transaction cost. There are no hidden surcharges.
## Sales Tax
Sales tax is calculated and collected in accordance with applicable state and local tax laws based on the shipping destination of your order. Tax rates are determined at the time of checkout.
## Refunds & Returns
Custom-built systems: Once payment has been received and the build has commenced, refunds are not available. We offer lifetime support and a comprehensive warranty for all systems we build. See our [Warranty Policy](/warranty-policy) for complete details on coverage, exclusions, and claim procedures.
Products and custom components: Refunds or returns are available only for products with a manufacturing or assembly fault covered under our warranty policy. We will request a clear explanation and photos of the issue. Refund requests for change of mind or other non-warranty reasons are at the sole discretion of JET.TECH Computing.
Shipping costs: Original shipping costs are non-refundable as the service has been provided. Return shipping costs for non-warranty returns are the responsibility of the customer.
Proof of purchase: A receipt or invoice is required for all refund, exchange, or warranty claims.
## Shipping & Delivery
Carriers: Shipments are handled primarily through UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL. If we need to use an alternate carrier, we will attempt to contact you.
Rates and timing: Shipping rates are calculated during checkout based on your address and order contents. Estimated shipping costs may also be obtained by contacting us. Formal quotes provide the most accurate shipping information.
Tracking: Tracking numbers are emailed to the address provided at checkout as soon as the package ships. Contact us if you have not received tracking information within 48 hours.
PO Boxes: Orders generally cannot be shipped to PO Boxes due to carrier restrictions. Exceptions may be made for USPS Priority Mail shipments on a case-by-case basis.
International shipping: We ship internationally. Contact us for international shipping quotes and information about available methods for your country. Customers are responsible for all import taxes, duties, and fees. We will provide documentation for customs but are not responsible for additional charges or delays imposed by customs authorities.
## Damage, Loss & Insurance
It is your responsibility to inspect packages upon delivery. If you receive a damaged or tampered package:
1. Report the damage immediately to the delivery carrier and note any case/reference number provided
2. Take photos of the packaging and contents
3. Contact us with the details
We will initiate an insurance claim on your behalf where possible. Due to the nature of insurance claim processing, replacement parts may not ship until the claim is resolved. If you have an urgent need, a new purchase can be made and we will refund the original purchase price upon receipt of insurance reimbursement.
If a package is not received, contact us within 60 days of shipment. After 90 days, carrier tracking limitations may prevent us from locating the package.
## Address Verification & Fraud Prevention
We verify billing and shipping addresses to prevent fraud and protect our customers. Orders with mismatched billing and shipping addresses may experience delayed processing during verification.
If information provided cannot be verified, if you do not respond to verification inquiries, or if there is reason to suspect fraudulent activity, we reserve the right to cancel the order. If you believe your payment information has been used fraudulently for a purchase from us, contact us immediately and we will assist you.
## Accounts
When creating an account, you must provide accurate and current information. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you become aware of unauthorized access.
We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice.
## Intellectual Property
The website, its content, features, and functionality are the property of JET.TECH Computing. Our trademarks, trade dress, and original content may not be used without prior written consent.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the website for its intended purpose. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify our content without authorization.
## User Content
If you submit content through our services (reviews, comments, build requests, etc.), you grant us permission to use, display, and share that content in connection with our services. You retain ownership of your content and are responsible for ensuring it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
## Links to Third-Party Sites
Our website may contain links to third-party sites that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites and encourage you to review their terms independently.
## Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JET.TECH Computing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunity.
Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to JET.TECH Computing for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
## Disclaimer
Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of product information, pricing, and specifications, but cannot guarantee completeness. We reserve the right to correct errors at any time.
## Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JET.TECH Computing from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.
## Photography & Media Release
JET.TECH Computing photographs completed builds for quality documentation, the build journal, our gallery, social media, and marketing purposes. By purchasing a custom-built system or product from us, you grant JET.TECH Computing permission to photograph your completed build and use those images in our portfolio, website, social media accounts, and promotional materials.
- Build photos will not include any personally identifiable information (name, address, etc.) unless you provide explicit written consent.
- If you prefer that your build not be featured publicly, notify us in writing before the build is completed and we will honor your request.
- You may request removal of your build photos from our public gallery at any time by contacting us.
- If your build is featured in a brand collaboration, sponsored content, or paid promotion, we will obtain separate written consent before publication.
## Communication Consent
By placing an order, creating an account, or subscribing to our newsletter, you consent to receiving communications from JET.TECH Computing including:
- Order confirmations and shipping notifications
- Build progress updates and photos
- Account verification codes
- Responses to inquiries and support requests
- Newsletter content (if subscribed — you may unsubscribe at any time)
We will not sell, rent, or share your contact information with third parties for marketing purposes. Transactional communications (order updates, verification codes, warranty notifications) are not marketing and cannot be opted out of while you have an active order or account.
## Force Majeure
JET.TECH Computing shall not be held liable for delays or failure to perform obligations under these Terms caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Component shortages or supply chain disruptions
- Manufacturer delays, recalls, or discontinuations
- Shipping carrier delays or service interruptions
- Natural disasters, severe weather, or public health emergencies
- Government actions, trade restrictions, or sanctions
- Power outages, internet disruptions, or infrastructure failures
In the event of a force majeure, we will notify you promptly, provide updated timeline estimates, and offer alternatives where possible, including component substitutions or the option to wait.
## Privacy
We collect and process personal information necessary to fulfill orders, manage accounts, and provide support. This includes names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses, and payment information.
- Payment information is processed securely through Stripe and is never stored on our servers.
- Account data and order history are stored through Stripe's customer management system.
- Verification codes are temporarily stored through Cloudflare and automatically expire.
- We use Resend for transactional email delivery.
For complete details on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy. We comply with all applicable federal and state privacy regulations.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share information only with service providers necessary to fulfill our obligations to you (payment processing, shipping carriers, email delivery).
## Payment Terms
Full payment is required before any build commences. We do not begin sourcing components or building until payment has been received and processed in full. This applies to all services including custom builds, Quick Builds, rebuilds, and consultations.
For customers who prefer to spread payments over time, buy-now-pay-later options (Afterpay, Klarna) are available at checkout for qualifying orders. These services handle the installment schedule directly with the customer — JET.TECH Computing receives payment in full at the time of purchase regardless of which payment method is used.
The remaining balance is never carried by JET.TECH Computing. If payment fails or is reversed after a build has commenced, work will be paused until the payment issue is resolved.
## Good Faith & Fair Dealing
Both JET.TECH Computing and our customers agree to act in good faith and deal fairly in all interactions related to these Terms. This means:
- We will be honest, transparent, and reasonable in our pricing, communication, timelines, and service delivery.
- We will not exploit ambiguities in these Terms to the detriment of the other party.
- When unforeseen circumstances arise, both parties will communicate promptly and work toward a fair resolution.
- We will honor the spirit of our commitments, not just the letter.
This clause reflects the standard by which JET.TECH Computing operates. Our policies represent a minimum standard — we consistently aim to exceed them. We ask that our customers engage with the same honesty and respect that we extend to them.
Where both parties have reasonably followed the principles of good faith and fair dealing outlined above, neither JET.TECH Computing nor the customer shall be held liable to the other for incidental costs, damages, or losses arising from the transaction or engagement. This mutual protection applies when both parties have communicated honestly, acted reasonably, and made genuine efforts to resolve any issues in accordance with these Terms.
If either party is found to have acted without good faith — including but not limited to dishonest communication, failure to respond to reasonable outreach within 14 days, initiating payment disputes without first attempting direct resolution, or misrepresenting facts related to a warranty or service claim — the following consequences apply without terminating the agreement:
- The mutual liability protection above is suspended for the party acting without good faith for the duration of the dispute.
- The party acting without good faith assumes sole responsibility for all reasonable costs incurred by the other party in resolving the issue, including administrative time, shipping, and if applicable, legal fees.
- Any active custom terms, preferential pricing, or special arrangements granted to the party acting without good faith are immediately voided and revert to the standard Terms.
- The party acting without good faith forfeits the mediation step in the Dispute Resolution process — the other party may proceed directly to legal action if direct resolution fails.
These consequences are proportional and designed to encourage resolution, not punishment. They apply equally to both JET.TECH Computing and the customer.
## Modifications to Individual Agreements
These Terms apply uniformly to all customers. However, we recognize that certain projects — particularly business engagements, large-scale builds, or unique collaborations — may require tailored arrangements. If you wish to discuss modifications to specific terms for your project, contact us. We are open to reasonable accommodations when both parties agree.
Any modifications to these Terms for an individual engagement must be documented in writing and signed or acknowledged by both parties. Verbal agreements or informal communications do not constitute modifications to these Terms. Where a written individual agreement exists, its terms take precedence over these general Terms for that specific engagement only.
Custom terms automatically expire 12 months from the date of the agreement, upon completion of the specific engagement they were created for, or upon fulfillment of the associated order — whichever comes first. Any new engagement requires a new agreement if modified terms are desired. Expired custom terms do not carry over, renew, or set precedent for future transactions. Custom terms are exclusively between JET.TECH Computing and the named party in the agreement — they are non-transferable and may not be referenced, claimed, or relied upon by any third party.
## Dispute Resolution
We believe most issues can be resolved through direct communication. If a dispute arises:
1. Contact us first. Email Craft@jettechcomputing.com with a description of the issue. We will respond within 48 hours and work in good faith to reach a resolution.
2. Mediation. If we cannot resolve the dispute directly within 30 days, either party may request non-binding mediation through a mutually agreed-upon mediator in Wake County, NC. Mediation costs will be split equally between both parties.
3. Legal action. If mediation is unsuccessful or if either party declines mediation, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Wake County, North Carolina in accordance with the Governing Law section below.
Both parties agree to attempt resolution through steps 1 and 2 before initiating legal proceedings, except in cases requiring immediate injunctive relief.
## Affiliated Brands
JET.TECH Computing operates alongside affiliated brands including JET.TECH Repairs and JET.TECH Recycling. Where it would reasonably better serve the customer's needs, an affiliated JET.TECH brand may engage directly with the customer to fulfill a request, provide support, or deliver a related service — for example, routing a repair inquiry to JET.TECH Repairs or a component recycling request to JET.TECH Recycling.
Engagement by an affiliated brand does not override, replace, or modify the terms of any existing agreement with JET.TECH Computing. The original agreement and all its terms remain in full effect. The affiliated brand operates as an extension of service, not a substitution of responsibility.
## Assignment
You may not assign, transfer, or delegate your rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party without our prior written consent. JET.TECH Computing may assign its rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets, provided the assignee agrees to honor these Terms.
## Waiver
The failure of either party to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. A waiver of any term on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of that term on any future occasion. All waivers must be in writing to be effective.
## Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Warranty Policy, Privacy Policy, and any written individual agreements entered into under the Modifications to Individual Agreements section, constitute the entire agreement between you and JET.TECH Computing regarding our services. They supersede all prior or contemporaneous discussions, proposals, negotiations, or communications — whether written or verbal — between the parties regarding the subject matter contained herein.
## Survival
The following provisions survive the expiration or termination of these Terms or any individual engagement: Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Disclaimer, Indemnification, Privacy, Photography & Media Release, Good Faith & Fair Dealing (including consequences for bad faith), Dispute Resolution, Governing Law, and any warranty obligations that remain in effect under our Warranty Policy.
## Notices
Formal notices under these Terms shall be delivered by email. Notices to JET.TECH Computing should be sent to Craft@jettechcomputing.com. Notices to the customer will be sent to the email address associated with their order or account. Notices are considered received when the email is successfully delivered. It is the customer's responsibility to maintain a current and monitored email address on file.
## Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unenforceable, or unlawful by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed entirely if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect. The invalidity of any single provision does not affect the validity of any other provision or these Terms as a whole.
## Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Wake County, North Carolina.
## Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
